A brief history of how we become Kents Biggest Garden Furniture and Conservatory Furniture Showroom!
1997
Steve Hills moves from his market stalls to a small warehouse in Whitstable, importing garden furniture himself. and opens Hills Leisure to the public.
2001
After a successful 4 years Hills outgrew their first premises and moved into a larger premises in Whitstable ten times the size.
2003
Hills opened their conservatory showroom boasting over 25 suites and becoming Kents largest cane showroom.
2005
After major success online with an eBay store Hills launched their website opening up our store nationwide.
2007
Our Tenth Anniversary! Hills was growing locally and online. Our showroom had a huge makeover and we'd delivered over 10,000 Garden Furniture orders.
2012
Rattan weave garden furniture was becoming increasingly popular and Hills imported over 200 containers to fulfil the demands.
2017
Our Twentieth Anniversary!
Hills Leisure and Garden Furniture Warehouse become Hills Home and Garden to avoid confusion and become a more notable brand
2018
Hills started selling real Christmas Trees throughout the festive period and began selling Christmas lights, Christmas figures and characters.
2019
Hills pledged to import only sustainable garden furniture made from recyclable materials to help in a better and brighter future.
2020
The Covid 19 pandemic had hit. Hills took appointment only showroom visits with a strict one household per visit rule. Also offering huge dicounts to NHS workers.
2021
Construction began of our brand new mega store located behind our current location. Twice as large as our previous showroom and due to open in 2022.
2022
Demolition of our previous showroom to make room for the access road to our brand new megastore. We moved into our new premises in September and got started preparing for Summer 2023
2023
We continue to serve our lovely customers online and in our new showroom as we decorate and prepare for the first summer in our brand new showroom.
